Minimum Admission Requirements
  1. Be a holder of K.C.S.E certificate or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum grade of C+ in the two teaching subjects; or
  2. Be a holder of Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (K.A.C.E) certificate with a minimum of two principle passes and one subsidiary pass, and a minimum of a principle pass in each of the two teaching subjects; or Division III at E.A.C.E. with credit grades in the cluster subjects; or
  3. Be a holder of a Diploma in Arts education from recognised institutions by the CUE. In addition, they should have satisfied requirements above.
  4. Students are expected to take two teaching subjects according to the subject combinations approved by the Ministry of Education. The approved subject combination has been followed in developing this curriculum.

Students from countries which do not sit any of the above examinations and have completed secondary school will be required to sit on a special qualifying examination.
