Message from the Director Quality Assurance
Due to the changing labour market and the need to enhance student’s enrolment, retention and satisfaction, quality assurance is essential to every institution. Hence, the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Standards exists to facilitate quality planning, control and promote continuous improvement in teaching, learning, examination and research, through quality programmes, set guidelines, systems, structures, methods and standards. To achieve this main objective, the University has complied with Quality Assurance Systems and Standards as per Commission for University Education (CUE) regulations by ensuring that CUE approves all programmes offered at the University.
The Directorate also ensures that the class attendance, teaching, learning and examination processes and services meet every student’s requirements. To achieve better outcomes, continuous curriculum review ensures that the programmes offered meet the labour market requirements. In addition, the Directorate promotes quality services to improve learning outcomes, enhance students’ satisfaction and improve our students’ employability. The set quality assurance and standards also enhance the institution’s reputation globally and improve efficiency in various Faculties and Departments at the University.
Currently, the University has ten (10) Degree programs, namely:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration,
- Bachelor of Education (Arts),
- Bachelor of Business Information Technology,
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science,
- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics,
- Bachelor of Science in Procurement and Supplies Chain Management,
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology,
- Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management,
- Bachelor of Economics and Finance, and
- Bachelor of Community Development.
In addition, the University has postgraduate programmes namely:
- Master in Business Administration and
- Master of Science in Applied Statistics and Data Analytics.
To maintain this positive growth and offer quality education, the University established the Directorate of Quality Assurance to facilitate quality service delivery in teaching, learning and research. The University also endeavours to embrace standardization so as to offer equal opportunity for international students globally.
