It is my pleasure to welcome you to Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology where we nurture talents. In this regard, I would like to inform you that Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology is a fully-fledged chartered University committed to scholarly excellence.

The office of Registrar Academics coordinates the following functions namely; research and extension of the university’s academics, research and community outreach programs, admission, quality assurance, exams, curriculum development, evaluation and career guidance among other academic-related issues. The office oversees planning, evaluation and formulation as well as a timely review of academic programs. The office manages student academic processes, such as inter-university transfers, certification of transcripts and certificates, credit transfers and exemptions and direct admission to the university among others. Additionally, the office oversees the academic development, approval, and application of academic policies, rules, practices, and other legal aspects relating to academics.

Our competitive academic programs range from certificates, diplomas, degrees and masters programmes are informed by standardized curriculums which are all approved by the Commission for University Education (CUE) and are geared towards equipping students with diverse knowledge and skills to fit in a globalized and industrialized economy.

The University has continued to produce highly competent graduates in the job market as well as creating an enabling environment where students not only learn scientific knowledge but also moral values. Graduates produced by KWUST are a constant assumption of competence among industry players. The new students enrolling in the University every semester is effectively oriented to understand University processes and policies. The Office of the Registrar-Academics has continued to institutionalize student-centric culture as well creating sustainable relationships with parents and guardians based on quality teaching, learning, research and innovation.

Enhancing the student learning experience is the philosophy of KWUST and this is actualized through granting the students opportunities for self-discovery coupled with intensive library research. Students of KWUST are subjected to comprehensive assessment tests as well as examinations at the end of every semester. The examination processes are monitored closely to enhance integrity at all stages.

The university has a water-tight student information management system geared towards an amicable grievance resolution mechanism to foster cordial learning relationships as well as good behavior among the students. This is done in an effort to ensure timely, effective, efficient, transparent and accountable service delivery to our esteemed customers.
