Welcome to (KWUST) Dr Paul Ndarua Memorial Library. We hope you will take advantage of the numerous physical and online information resources and services in fulfillment of your academic and research requirements.
The library is well equipped with a Digital lab, special collections, e-journals, e-books and continue to grow in terms of the acquisition of current titles for every programme. The collection comprises a wide range of information materials that provide unlimited access to millions of e-journals, over 15 million e-books, a Directory of Open Access of more than 50,000 volumes, an Institutional repository, DSpace covering many different titles, past papers and other research databases including an anti-plagiarism software (Turnitin) which can be accessed within the campus through the search engines using free library WIFI.
You can also access all the educational content at your convenient time without visiting the library physically using your laptop or smartphone. Library services are offered in line with the University’s mission of promoting learning and research by Empowering Women through Education. The specific mission of the library is to develop, organize and preserve quality information resources in various forms to broaden teaching, learning and research activities to meet the information requirements of the University.
Most operational activities of the library are automated and integrated with LMS system for quick and timely service delivery. Books are available both in print and electronic, providing students with options of using the Digital Lab equipped with adequate computers and the OPAC section with enough computers to search and identify the physical location of books in print from the shelves or to access the electronic versions.
To develop, organize and preserve quality information resources in various formats to broaden teaching, learning and research activities to meet information needs of the University.

- To establish an institutional framework through which an effective, efficient an dynamic library and information service can be provided that meets the information needs of all stakeholders.
- To provide information systems and services to the KWUST library user community and the environ
- To guide KWUST clients and stakeholders regarding the services given by the library to advance their learning, research and information resource needs
- To integrate the library facilities with academic, research and other activities for maximum utilization of the library’s support of these activities.
- To encourage stakeholders involvement in the library and information service in order to promote an understanding and appreciation of satisfactory services.
